Humanity First Nederland was able to complete yet another successful project.
In agreement with the Refugee Camp of Zutphen, Humanity First holds the event for 3 days, receving about 700 visits and distributing 3,000 pieces of clothing, handbags, shoes, belts and winter clothing.
Volunteers of the event were Khudam who were residents of this camp, whereas three non Jama’at members also volunteer for the event.
In preparation for the event 7 Ansar and 6 Khuddam volunteered for transporting, loading, unloading, packing may all volunteers be blessed.
The event starts at 09 am and ends at 04 pm from Tuesday until Thursday.
In total about 10,000 pieces of cloths were collected, about 4,000 were children cloths, bedsheets, dekbeds and towels, the management of the refugee camp does not allow children cloths, bedsheets, dek beds and towels.
The management of the camp allocated their gymnasium hall to be used for the event, overall the management was quite pleased with the activity and extended their co-operation in future for any possible event that Humanity First Nederland can proposed them.
Considering the Corona situation and its SOP’s 600 tickets for entrance were issued one week in advance, each ticket allowed holder to remain in the hall for 20 minutes in its specified time thus enabling 30 persons per hour, however on the last day many people were allowed repeat visits.
Visitors show keen interest in the project and were thankful to Humanity First Nederland for organizing the event as this project help them to great extend in lower their stress on clothing issues. Soon comments of few visitors will be available on Humanity First Nederland YouTube channel @ HumanityFirstNederland.
